Long-range plans

With the aid of St. Bede alumni Dan Ebener and Chuck Quilty, the monks gathered on Monday afternoon to conduct a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, & Threats) analysis in order to clarify its long-range plans.

Frs. Claude & Arthur

On Friday, Jan. 10, Fr. Claude was released from the hospital and returned to the abbey.  Fr. Arthur, on the other hand, has serious medical issues that the community is not in a position to be able to care for adequately.  Therefore,  on Friday, Jan. 10, he was moved to an assisted living center where he will receive the care that he needs.

In Sunday, Jan. 5, Fr. Claude was admitted into St. Margaret’s Hospital with fluid retention due to his weakened heart.  Though no yet released from the hospital, he is doing better. In another case,  on Tuesday, Jan. 7, Fr. Arthur was admitted into St. Margaret’s Hospital for the same condition as Fr. Claude’s.  Fr. Arthur is not doing well: weak and confused.  Prayers are requested for both.
